We all love Jackboot Jacqui, don't we? I just happen to have stumbled upon her homepage... Now, at the moment, this page doesn't feature when you google search for
Jacqui Smith, so, I thought we could show her just how nice us bloggers can be, and get her page to number one on her google search page... Google ranks pages based on the number of times they are linked to, and the text within the link. thus, a link like this:
Jacqui Smith will tell the google search bot that the page has something to do with
Jacqui Smith. The bold text on this page also lets the google-bot know that this page is related to
Jacqui smith. Thus, the page to be found at
Jacqui Smith is increased in rank. If enough people link to the page, it will, eventually, with not much effort arrive on the front page of google. Because her homepage has the words
Jacqui Smith on it, it is placed higher in the rankings than if it didn't.
